We walked to the Home Health office where the kids were given a brief talk about what they do, then they were divided into groups and shown some of the items they use.

On Wednesday, John Hostas and Les Hons brought the ambulance and talked to the kids about safety.  The kids enjoyed getting to sit in the ambulance and see all of the tools of the trade!

Community Helpers - Police/Highway Patrol

Officers Sawyer and Hunt came to school on Tuesday to give a short talk and show us their patrol cars.  Some of the kids even got to make the siren go off!

You're Going to Hear Us ROAR!!!

Our Character Education this year is focused on Respect and Responsibility.  Our counselor, Mrs. Petit, visits each class every six weeks and does a lesson with the kids.  The 2 rules to remember are Respect and Responsibility.  The kids are learning they need to respect themselves and others and to be responsible for their actions and non-actions.  They are also learning that when there are rules, there are consequences--good and bad.  Our slogan around school is "R.O.A.R."--Respect Others, Act Responsibly.  This year we are going to ROAR!!

We got a new student in our class and my girls were so excited it was a girl!  They've nearly caught up with the boys now!
