Just realized I never put these pictures on! A couple of weeks ago we did some fun activities to learn about how we use our senses. Some of these included writing their name and drawing a picture of themselves while blindfolded, using sound boxes to find 2 sounds that were the same, guessing foods by their smell and finding objects in the feely box by feeling for them only. Today we ended our week by having a tasting party. We tasted salty potato chips, sour lemons, bitter unsweetened chocolate and sweet hersheys chocolate. It's always fun to do the bitter unsweetened chocolate because the kids have smelled it and think they're getting yummy sweet candy. I only give them a teeny bit and I love seeing their faces when they start chewing it. Most of it gets spit out, but some do manage to get it swallowed and a couple actually said they liked it! Most of them ended up at the sink to get a drink. They do get sweetened chocolate afterwards.
