Thanksgiving - Native Americans

This week we talked and read about the Native Americans and the part they played in the First Thanksgiving.  In preparation for our upcoming feast, we made Native American costumes including vests, necklaces and headbands.  Sorry, no pictures of the kids painting the vests.  I was too busy trying to make sure the kids didn't get paint all over their clothes.  I don't think I succeeded!

NECKLACES - The kids were to put on 10 pieces of cereal then one foam bead, 10 cereals, 1 foam bead, etc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

HEADBANDS - The kids had to make a shape pattern on their headband.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I love having the kids make these wide-eyed Native Americans every year.  They are so cute!  Next week we'll be making their Pilgrim friends.
