3-D Homework

The kids were to bring an object from home that was one of the 3-D shapes we'd been discussing.  After demonstrating with my wooden shapes that some of them roll, some slide and some roll and slide, they got to place their object in our Venn diagram of what their shape would do.  At first I just laid down a hula hoop for roll and one for slide and I let them try to figure out what we needed to do for the ones that would do both.  They had the right idea about laying the objects in the middle where the 2 hula hoops met, but I had to show them how we overlap them and have the space in the middle.
