3-Dimensional Shapes

This week the kids are learning the names of 3-D shapes.  Today I gave them each some play-doh and we made spheres, rectangular prisms, cones, cubes and cylinders.  At first I heard a lot of "I can't do this!", but then they started getting excited when they found out that, with a little patience, they COULD do it!  Watching this kind of discovery is one of the many reasons I love my job.
